Our courts
Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club has 8 outdoor floodlit courts, 2 indoor courts, a floodlit clay court and 4 padel courts.
Two of the outdoor tennis courts are housed under a bubble in winter. Padel, courts 10 & 11 and indoor courts can be booked by non-members.
The LED floodlights on courts 3-8, the tweener lights on the clay court and the covered padel courts are now operated and booked via ManageOurClub (MOC). The floodlights on the outdoor padel court continues to be operated by tokens which are available from the bar.
Not forgetting our padel courts. Padel is a mix between tennis and squash. We have one outdoor padel court and three covered padel courts. Our padel courts are bookable by members and non-members. Floodlit.
Padel news and booking info
New indoor surface - Proflex Impermeable Acrylic. It has excellent durability; and a consistent and true ball bounce. ITF Classified. Located at the club entrance along the side of court 4.
DOE Olympus. This surface is recognised as the best synthetic carpet court available. Playing speed is medium to fast with a medium to low bounce; and playable all year round. Floodlit.
New Poraflex all weather cushioned surface. A high performance acrylic surface. It has a medium to slow pace producing a medium to high ball bounce. Floodlit and are under a 'bubble' in the winter.
RED PLUS is a red earth field patented and certified ITF1 SLOW court. This is an all-weather court but after periods of heavy rain you may need to wait 20 minutes or so to allow the surface to drain. The court must be swept after use. Floodlit.
Currently being refurbished to the same standard as the courts 7 and 8. Floodlit. New court surfaces coming soon.
